Delivering at Morristown
How to Register: Thank you for choosing Morristown Memorial Hospital for your upcoming delivery. There is a registration packet you may obtain from your physician or the hospital. You will need to fill out the form and send it back prior to your arrival. Each pregnancy/admission needs a new registration. The State of New Jersey provides metabolic screening for all newborns for 20 disorders, free of charge. If you would like additional testing you may bring in a supplemental screening form. You will need to obtain this ahead of time. Information is provided in the packet on how to do this. There is a fee for the supplemental screening. You must send the signed confirmation form back with the registration that states you are aware of the charge. On admission to Labor and Delivery, you will be asked if you wish to privately bank, donate or discard your umbilical cord blood; this is an opportunity to save or donate stem cells. Both private umbilical cord banking and donation of umbilical cord blood require prior arrangement with an umbilical cord blood bank. Learn more about Donating Your Baby's Cord Blood. If you would like to donate stem cells, please contact Community Blood Services at 1-866-SAVCORD (728-2673). Please read the Notice of Privacy. The advanced directive is optional. When you return the information please include:
