Making an Appointment

Your obstetrician will refer you to our center for your ultrasound. When you make an appointment we will need your name, date of birth, address, phone number(s), referring doctor’s name, insurance, due date, and type of appointment needed.

Services offered by Atlantic Maternal-Fetal Medicine:

  • Prenatal testing and diagnosis
  • First trimester screening

The most common appointment types are:

  • Nuchal Lucency (30 minutes) performed between 11 weeks three days and 12 weeks six days
  • Anatomy (one-hour) performed between 19-20 weeks
  • Growth or Biophysical (30 minutes) generally performed after 28 weeks
  • Amniocentesis (30 minutes) 15-21 weeks
  • CVS (45 minutes) 11-12 weeks

All appointments are adjusted for multiple gestations.

For your first visit, please arrive 20 minutes prior to your appointment time so we can register you in the hospital system and input information into the ultrasound machines. You will also need your insurance card and photo ID.
